Appointment Reminders

If you will be more than 10 minutes late for your appointment, we may need to reschedule you. Please call us ahead of time if you feel like you may be running late so we can assist you further.

Appointments cancelled within 24 hours or less of the scheduled appointment time will be subject to our late cancellation policy of 75% the cost of service for acupuncture and massage appointments and 50% of the cost of service for psychotherapy appointments. (emergency and special circumstances are considered).

Please note these fees will be charged automatically to your account, and insurance does not apply.

Please cancel your appointment if:

  • You feel ill or have any symptoms of the flu or covid. Symptoms include fever, chills, muscle aches, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, headache, or new loss of taste or smell. Even if you have tested negative, please wait until your symptoms have subsided to come in for an appointment
  • Have just tested positive for covid with less than 5 days passing, even if you have no symptoms
  • You currently have allergies and can’t control coughing or sneezing

Please wear a mask if:

  • Have a chronic cough, sore throat, runny nose or other mild allergy symptoms
  • You have tested positive for covid, but have isolated for at least 5 days
  • You have been in close contact with someone who is sick

If you are unsure, please call the clinic ahead of your appointment, and we can direct you to best course of action. Herbal consults over the phone may be available for existing acupuncture patients to treat your illness. If you late cancel an appointment due to illness, we will not charge you a late cancel fee.

As always, practitioners will wear masks upon request, and masks are available free of charge at the front desk.

Khadijah’s main occupation is fine needle (acupuncture) work informed by eclectic curiosities and endeavoring to see things as they are. Khadijah’s practice addresses neurological and digestive systems and situations affecting the psychosoma for which conventional medicine cannot or has not offered any significant consolation. She treats old injuries and scars to dissolve emotional blockages. Her practice focuses on prevention by maintaining organized fluidity and receptivity. Khadijah’s sessions often incorporate touch: gentle holding and witnessing. Her BA is in Creative Writing from University of Michigan (Ann Arbor), MSTOM from PCHS (Chicago), and she obtained a doctorate from Five Branches University (San Jose).

Derek Becker is a compassionate collaborator who partners with people to creatively overcome physical and emotional challenges.

Nadia Ismail is a bilingual speaking psychologist (English/Arabic) with a MSc in Mental Health and Psychological Therapies from Queen Mary University of London. She is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) from the Beck Institute for Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) from the Linehan Institute in the United States. Her style of psychotherapy is a combination of CBT, DBT and psychodynamic principles and is built on building a meaningful and reflective therapeutic relationship between herself and the client.

Nadia works with adults with a wide range of difficulties such as anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, relationships and personality disorders. She also works with members of the LGBTQ community.

Nathan uses a mix of shiatsu, acupressure, and myofacial based therapies in his treatments. All of Nathan’s work is done over the clothing. When working with injuries and pain elimination the focus is on balancing the joints and muscles that are twisting out of alignment or double contracting. When working with emotional stress, trauma, anxiety, the focus is on creating space for the person to feel more comfortable in their body and connecting them into their midline.

Margot works with clients from a humanistic and person-centered perspective to reconnect with themselves in a supportive, non-judgmental, and compassionate way. She provides relational, psychodynamic, LGBTQIA+ affirmative, and culturally responsive therapy to adults, couples, and teens and is trained on the impact of trauma on the body and the brain, the connection between thoughts and behaviors, what motivates us to change, the relationship between people and their environment, and grief and loss. As a trauma-informed yoga instructor, she believes that there is a critical connection between the mind and body and assists in the process of helping the two work together in synchronicity toward healing, incorporating gentle somatic movement, breath work, and grounding with clients, using the rhythms of the natural world to learn how to live more harmoniously with ourselves and others.
